Join the John Bell Hood Historical Society:
The John Bell Hood Historical Society has adopted a unique membership policy. New members will pay a one-time membership fee, and recieve a "lifetime" or perpetual membership. After joining, each member will be contacted annually and asked if they wish to continue to receive the JBHHS newsletter and to remain on the JBHHS membership roll. The membership of those responding affirmatively will be extended for one year at no additional cost. Any member wishing to be removed from the membership roll can do so at any time by simply notifying the JBHHS.
Benefactors have agreed to provide funding for all administrative expenses of the JBHHS through January 1, 2007. Therefore, 100% of all memberhsip fees and donations will be designated to fund a permanent historical/memorial marker honoring Gen. Hood at a Civil War battlefield where he fought.
There are no memorials, plaques or statues honoring Gen. Hood at any of the numerous Civil War battlefields where his unsurpassed courage and dedication won him the admiration and respect of commanders and soldiers from both the North and South.
We invite you to join the JBHHS, knowing that 100% of your donation will fund memorials that will not only honor Gen. Hood and his men, but will also enhance the battlefield properties, and educate visitors.

- Quarterly Newsletter
- Back Issues of the Quarterly Newsletter
- Invitation to JBHHS Annual Meeting/Seminar/Tours
- 11" x 17" picture of General Hood, suitable for framing
Also, the JBHHS is currently negotiating with several Civil War historical organizations for discounts for JBHHS members.
